An essential delivery of voluntary services for youth transitioning out of care into adulthood and for young adults who were formerly in care up to and including age 25.

The DOCFS Post Majority team is committed to promoting culturally based educational, social, physical, and mental well-being, as well as educational opportunities for First Nations youth.

Program Objectives

The program enables youth transitioning out of care into adulthood, and young adults formerly in care, to thrive by providing wrap-around supports and services.

Land-Based Educational Camps

Post-majority care services provide a continuum of supports for First Nations youth and young adults formerly in care to assist with their transition to adulthood upon reaching the age of majority. Post-majority care services aim to support the safety and well-being of First Nations youth and young adults through a culturally appropriate approach that reflects their self-identified best interests toward a successful future.
