promoting well-being

Culture, traditional skill building, healthy lifestyle, fun & interactive.

Prevention provides fun and interactive learning programs that promote the physical and mental well-being of children and families within each community and urban area.

It is a preventative tool designed to assist families so that children do not come into care.

Prevention Through Family Connection

The focus is to establish programs and services based on identified needs to promote the well-being of children, youth, and families by providing opportunities to make positive choices for a healthy lifestyle through meaningful program experiences. Prevention initiatives may also assist in enhancing existing programs within the communities.

Who We Work With

Prevention programs are generally open to all individuals; however, from time to time they may be client-based. If you and your children are interested in participating in these fun learning activities, contact your local DOCFS office to inquire about their monthly schedule.
