Message from Our Chairperson

At Dakota Ojibway Child and Family services, we believe there is strength in our organization as a collective for the delivery of child welfare services to Manitoba First Nation Communities. The assurance of safety and interests of children within their own families and communities are ambitions to which DOCFS strives to achieve.

We are working to improve the relationships with children, families and communities by recognizing and strengthening the distinct rights and authorities of First Nations to control and deliver their own child and family services that reflects the cultures of our nations. The Dakota Ojibway Child and Family Service organization shares a vision and commitment with the member nations to improve the quality of life for those who we serve.

I wish to express heartfelt gratitude to those elders, partners, clients, employees and every member of our organization for being with us. We look forward to serving you for many years to come. I believe that the future of our nations is our responsibility. Our children are the future of our country and our nations will prosper. The future is promising.
